Summer volunteer activities are an opportunity for IUH youth to contribute their youth and knowledge to activities aimed at creativity, practicality and efficiency.
On the morning of 25/6, at Hall A7 – Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, the School Union, the Students' Union organized a campaign of summer volunteer programs in 2022 with 02 programs "The exam season support" and the volunteer campaign "Green Summer". Attendees of the ceremony included Comrade Tô Minh Hiếu – Executive Comittee member, Deputy Chief of the Vietnam Students' Union Office in HCMC; Comrade Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc – officer of the Ho Chi Minh City Union Office; Comrade Hoàng Đơ – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of The Student Affairs Department; Comrade Huỳnh Phú Vinh – Party member, Secretary of the School Union; Comrade Trương Công Hậu, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the School Union; Comrade Lê Bá Long – Deputy Secretary of the School Union; Comrade Ngô Đình Luật – standing committee member of the School Union, President of the School's Students' Union, Comrade Lê Văn Hoàng – standing committee member of the School Union; The Permanent Vice President of the University's Students' Union and representatives of units with students participating in summer volunteer activities.
For the volunteer campaign "Green Summer" in 2022, there are 07 permanent squads in Ho Chi Minh City, Tiền Giang province, Đồng Tháp province, Vĩnh Long province; 10 non-permanent squads in the wards of Gò Vấp District (Hồ Chí Minh City); Besides, 01 soldier participates in the volunteer squad in the Lao People's Democratic Republic and 01 soldier participates in the volunteer squad at Phú Qúy Island, Bình Thuận province.
For the "Exam Season Support" program in 2022, there are squads at all national high school graduation test sites in Tân Bình District, Gò Vấp District and Hóc Môn District.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Huỳnh Phú Vinh – Party member, Secretary of the School Union said that the annual summer volunteer programs and campaigns are always a mass of activities that are welcomed by a large number of students, especially after a period of interruption by the Covid-19 epidemic.

"This is the peak occasion for union members, and students to show the pioneering spirit, contributing youth and knowledge to community works, contribute the youth to accompany the locality to build new rural areas." said Comrade Huynh Phu Vinh.
During summer volunteer activities in 2022, IUH youth strive to implement 03 exercise grounds for children, 03 sections of street lights to light up the countryside 5000m in length, build 01 youth book library, plant 01 youth flower route 3000m long and paint frescoes for 01 road. This year, more than 1,500 soldiers participated in summer volunteer activities and the funding mobilized to implement summer volunteer programs and campaigns reached nearly 1 billion VND.

At the ceremony, Comrade Hoàng Đơ – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee said, "The Party Committee – The School Board is always interested in supporting, creating conditions and accompanying with spiritual activities for the community. Volunteer soldiers must overcome difficulties, unite, discipline, abide by labor safety regulations, and implement the motto: "Being remembered on leaving, being loved on staying, being trusted on working."

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the volunteer soldiers were trained in first-aid skills in summer volunteering by resident Doctor Phạm Thị Mỹ Hoa – Hồ Chí Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and volunteer soldiers of the Students' Union of The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City.
