In the morning of Mar 9, 2020, IUH held a ceremony with the announcement of appointment of IUH’s Rector and transfer leadership. It was the university’s pleasure to receive the attendance of Mrs Nguyen Van Nga – Director General and Mr Huynh Anh Tuyen – Deputy Director of Agency for Southern Affairs of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr Vo Van Yen - Incharge Permanent Member of Party Committee of the Centrally-run Businesses in Ho Chi Minh city, together with leaders from the surrounding enterprises and university partners, ex-leaders, presses, union representatives and IUH’s managers.

Per procuration by Department of Personnel and Organization of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr Nguyen Xuan Hong – Director of Office of Human Resources and Administration of IUH declared the Decision of Retirement for Dr Nguyen Thien Tue – Former Rector of IUH. Throughout his duration time of working as IUH’s Rector, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue significantly contributed to the development of the university.

In the past few years, under the leading of the Former Rector – Dr Nguyen Thien Tue, IUH has completed the next stages of building its new campus in District 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, established its branch campus in Quang Ngai province, a campus in Thanh Hoa province, well performed the project of full autonomy, etc.... to become a national key university, had 8 study programmes meeting the AUN-QA requirements, provided high quality human resource, received good praises from distinguished enterprises and organizations, worthy of positioning as the key university of Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In such most important occasion, Mrs Nguyen Van Nga – Director General of Agency for Southern Affairs of Ministry of Industry and Trade handed over the Decision appointing Dr Phan Hong Hai to serve as IUH’s Rector for the period of 2020 – 2025.

In the ceremony, Dr Phan Hong Hai expressed his thankfulness to the leaders of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Party Committee of the Centrally-run Businesses in Ho Chi Minh city, and all IUH’s staff and management for their trust and respect paid to his Rector position, declared his commitment for remaining the organization solidarity, provision of the most convenient conditions for individual development, achievement of strategic goals, and making IUH become a respectively leading university in- and outside country. In the near future, IUH also hopes to continuously receive the interest and close direction from Ministry of Industry and Trade, Party Committee of the Centrally-run Businesses in Ho Chi Minh city, as well as from other cooperative partners.

In the presence of the witness of representatives from Ministry of Industry and Trade, Party Committee of the Centrally-run Businesses in Ho Chi Minh city and IUH’s Board of Directors, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue and Dr Phan Hong Hai signed the Minutes of Meeting as Statement of IUH’s Rector Position Transfer.

On this occasion, Dr Nguyen Thien Tue gave IUH copyright of the song “Khát vọng tuổi trẻ IUH” written by himself as present. This was really a meaningful gift to all staff, students and management of the university.
