Smart Grid Key Laboratory Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Tán said that improving training equipment has been the policy of the Party Committee and the School Board over the years. The construction project of Smart Grid Key Laboratory invested by the school will provide a modern laboratory, access to advanced engineering technologies. It is the basis for developing teaching staff resources; improving the training quality, meeting the needs of high-quality human resources for society in the industrial age 4.0. Representative of the School, Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Tán announced the inauguration of Smart Grid key laboratory; sent congratulations as well as assigned responsibility for scientific management and laboratory efficiency to the Faculty of Electrical Technology; At the same time, he thanked ABB Vietnam, South Asia Investment and Development Company Limited as well as partners for providing the laboratory's equipment.

Representative of Faculty of Electrical Technology, Dr. Trần Thanh Ngọc – the Faculty Dean expressed his joy when the Faculty received the modern laboratory invested by the School. This will help improve knowledge and skills for students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Automation. The laboratory is also expected to help lecturers, trainees and students of the Faculty improve their capacity for scientific research, technology transfer, and training links in the near future.
Mr. Đoàn Văn Hiển - Deputy General Director of ABB Vietnam shared the modern and advanced technologies and techniques of ABB Vietnam integrated in the Laboratory. Appreciating the efforts, as well as recognizing the impressive achievements of the school in recent years, Mr. Đoàn Văn Hiển wishes the school will achieve many successes in the future, and hopes that the relationship between the school and ABB Vietnam will develop better and better.

Smart Grid key laboratory consists of 2 main systems:
1. Real-time electrical simulation system (Opal RT): Perform electromagnetic transient simulation, electromechanical transient simulation and to study complex phenomena related to the interaction between control and protection systems in the electrical system....
2. ABB Medium Voltage Cabinet System: Widely used in medium voltage distribution systems, high-rise buildings and industrial factories. These are modern, feature-rich devices that meet strict standards of safety, reliability during operation.
