In 2022, two teams of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City have excellently become the firt and second runners-up of the southern regional competition organized by Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam in conjunction with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.
With the goal of "Applying SCADA GENESIS64 software to digitize the factory", two teams from Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, HK Team and Generation Z, have surpassed 11 teams, won 01 second prize, and 01 third prize.
Two excellent IUH teams won second and third places in the southern regional finals.
Starting from August 2022, 12 teams from 7 universities including: Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Vietnam Aviation Academy has excellently reached the final round of the competition.

In the Scada 2022 – 2023 contest themed "Application of SCADA GENESIS64 software in factory digitization ", two teams, HK Team and Generation Z, representing Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City surpassed the remaining teams to win the second and third prizes with respective topics "SCADA system for controling, monitoring and collecting data at block factories" and "SCADA system for monitoring and controling surface water supply stations in Cu Chi AHTP", second only to the SPK_TH Host team of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.
Participating in the contest "Application of SCADA GENESIS64 software in factory digitization", students can actualize their ideas in the design of application projects in the factory. The competition is specialized, helping students smoothly apply the knowledge and software, especially SCADA GENESIS64 software, into production practice.
According to Dr. Ngô Thanh Quyền - Head of Automation Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City said: "Automation-majored students regularly participate in technology competitions organized by Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam. The finalists all won prizes, which is a proud achievement of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology in general and the students of Automation in particular. Participating in specialized competitions can help students gain more experience as well as actualize their ideas, so that they can improve themselves, and have an advantage in job seeking after graduation."

HK Team participated in the contest with the topic "SCADA system for controlling, monitoring and collecting data of block factory" conducted by two students: Lê Đăng Hòa, and Hoàng Văn Khanh. The interface is used to monitor, collect, and analyze data on the operation of the block factory from the remote system via HMI screen guided by lecturer Lê Long Hồ. Generation Z team participated with the topic "SCADA system for monitoring and controling surface water supply station in Cu Chi AHTP". The interface is used to collect data from Cu Chi AHTP water pumping station which is controlled and monitored through HMI screen guided by lecturer Võ Trung Thư.
