On the morning of August 9, 2023, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding and received the Robot Studio® simulation software package from ABB Robotics Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony, ABB Robotics Vietnam sent Mr. Huynh Phong Phu – Director of Robotics and Automation Department, Mr. Tran Trong Tin – Head of Customer Service and Operation Department; In the meantime, IUH sent Ms. Dam Sao Mai – Vice Rector of the University, together with the Head and Deputy of units: Department of Science Management and International Affairs, Department of Investment Planning, Center for Business Connection and Job Introduction, Academic Affair Office, Faculty of Electrical Technology, Faculty of Electronic Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Technology, and lecturers, deans of the Faculty of Electrical Technology and lecturers of the Department of Automation (Faculty of Electrical Technology) attended.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Dam Sao Mai said: "The contribution of ABB Vietnam has created a great change in the teaching and learning of the Technology Division in general and the Faculty of Electrical Technology in particular. We are pleased that ABB Vietnam has been and will continue to accompany in creating a diverse interactive learning environment and applying it in practice right at the school will create high-quality human resources suitable for the current labor market."

During the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Phong Phu – Director of ABB Robotics and Automation Department shared: "ABB wants to contribute something valuable to Vietnam's education sector compared to other robot companies in the world. We decided to carry out a campaign to accompany top universities in Vietnam to be ready to train and provide students and teachers with conditions to access the latest technologies of ABB Robotics Vietnam."

Besides, Mr. Huynh Phong Phu also shared that he is a former student of IUH class 1, after more than 12 years of returning to school, he has seen the outstanding development of the school in terms of facilities as well as training programs. He highly appreciated the students participating in the internship and engineers of IUH's Faculty of Electrical Technology during the process, Mrs. Dam Sao Mai and Mr. Huynh Phong Phu signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.
To congratulate the milestone marking the cooperation of the two sides, delegates attending the ceremony and IUH students enjoyed a cup of filtered coffee, a Vietnamese drink prepared by ABB's Yumi Robot right at the ceremony.
